Almond Blossom Storage Box Classic

Dutch Design Storage Box Artist Editions

Almond Blossom

When you're creating a new collection of Storage Boxes inspired by art, there's simply no getting around Vincent van Gogh. And to be perfectly honest, we wouldn't want to! After all, he's one of the most extraordinary artists in the world – and Dutch, too. What better starting point for our new Artist Editions collection? We chose Almond Blossom, an iconic painting from 1890 that Van Gogh created as a gift to celebrate the birth of his nephew Vincent Willem, the son of his brother Theo and sister-in-law Jo. Almond trees blossom early in the year, heralding the arrival of spring and symbolising new life. Throughout his life, Van Gogh painted numerous flowering trees and blossoming branches, inspired in part by the Japanese prints he so greatly admired. Almond Blossom is one of his most famous works and, in our opinion, one of his most beautiful.
